THE WEDDING STORY OF SUSAN + ERIC:

Indiana Historical Society ~  Indianapolis, Indiana

Susan stole the hearts of her guests as she glided down the aisle pausing  to hand out flowers to friends of her mother in her mom’s memory.  This began a wedding filled with moments containing tributes to an icon in the bridal industry and a wonderful friend of Mon Amie Events, Inc.

Every mother dreams of her daughter’s wedding, but for our client Susan, the daughter of one of the Indianapolis’ most well-known wedding planners, Betty Jackson, the planning process had begun before she was even born.  Susan’s nuptials would be forever changed though when her mom, Betty, passed away several years ago.  Deciding to host a vintage style event, Susan and Eric, were inspired by Betty and held their wedding enveloped in the era of the 1940s.  Details included telegram save-the-dates, ostrich feathers, Betty’s fur wrap, jewelry and gloves, all creating an elegant and timeless celebration surrounded by the beauty and grandeur of the Indiana Historical Society.

This wedding won the 2009  ISES Indiana Best Wedding Award for its budget category.

This wedding was included as part of Monica Richard’s presentation for Master Bridal Consultant at the 2009 ABC Business of Brides International Conference.
