ELIZABETH + ADAM’S WEDDING STORY:

Central Library – Indianapolis, Indiana

It’s not a secret that I’m a lover of pattern and colorful weddings. The wedding of Elizabeth and Adam may be the wedding that will long live as a clinic in trust.the.process. The photos from this wedding are the most responded to, most “liked”, most asked about during the design process, and all because of the (now famous) dancefloor. It’s a classic case of knowing your team truly wants the best for you, and truly wants your wedding better than you can ever imagine. (and pattern is always worth it!) 😉

Elizabeth and Adam’s wedding invitation included a vintage blue pattern from a centuries old piece of art. Using that artwork throughout the wedding was critical in the entire wedding design. Paired with magenta, peony, and watermelon, the palette for the wedding was set. Elizabeth was a dream to work with the entire time. The team found blue vases which mimicked the invitation pattern, to create a stunning tablescapes for their Central Library wedding.

The focal point for Elizabeth and Adam’s wedding was the dancefloor. The floor was an entirely blue and white patterned beacon in the center of the space. It was flanked on either side by long tables with blue linens dripping with pink floral garlands. To add further interest, some square and round tables dotted the room with various shades of blue patterned linens and lush pink floral creations and candles to create a magical evening celebration. While Elizabeth did approve her linens, flowers and vases; she also knew that she was going to have “some” form of a cool dance floor, we sort of teased her with the final concept. We only told her it was inspired by her invitation. Elizabeth allowed her team to create the now iconic floor by trusting us to make something that worked for the size and scale the space. Her mom said the dancefloor was the hero of the space. I often joke Elizabeth was the hero; she allowed us to do it. All couples should have such trust; thankfully more and more are becoming more like Elizabeth and Adam.
