RACHEL + CHRIS’S WEDDING STORY:

Newfields – Indianapolis, Indiana

Rachel and Chris asked for one of the places in Indianapolis that may be on everyone’s “if I could get married there” wish list … and we delivered! It was an honor to help these two families create memories on the front lawn of the Lilly House and the grounds of Newfields in an entirely private experience. It was the first wedding to take place on this location of Newfields and creating this wedding was very special.

Rachel and Chris’s wedding ceremony took place on the Grand Allee, which was painted (to honor the Art Museum) by a live painter. This was not the only painting on the wedding day. The entire invitation suite was actually created from artwork painted by Rachel’s mom. The Lilly House, and the gate leading up the house, were loving painted by her mom. It was wonderful to include her artwork on the pieces throughout the weekend, including the welcome bags guests took home from the hotel.

The dinner and dance reception took place on the front lawn of the Lilly House in a grand tent filled with pastel flowers. Rachel’s biggest wish when working with the Newfield’s team was that the largest tree next to the Lilly House would have their famous Christmas lights on it in time for her Labor Day weekend wedding. Thankfully, they lovingly delivered because it looked enchanting as the sun set over the mansion. The tent looked like its own sunset, as a pastel rainbow of flowers covered the tablescapes. Guests dined on an impeccable menu which was perfect for the late summer wedding. The entire evening was special because Newfields gave unfettered access to the grounds due to the exclusive nature of the wedding.
