Mackenzie and Tim’s Canal 337 Wedding

Our Mon Amie Events team loved working with Mackenzie and Tim on this beautiful Indianapolis wedding. The industrial chic wedding venue along the canal offered a blank canvass to design the wedding of their dreams. The couple and their wedding party spent the day getting relaxing and getting ready with their wedding parties.  After a few moments with their parents and siblings, it was time for Mackenzie and Tim’s first look. A few photos with family and they were ready […]

Sarah & Joseph’s Newfields Wedding

Our Mon Amie Events team adored working with Sarah and Joseph on their spectacular wedding at Newfields. You see, the couple’s first date was at Newfields, and Joseph proposed there as well…clearly, their wedding HAD to be on the ground of Newfields too.   The bride and groom-to-be each spent the morning with their wedding parties, enjoying breakfast, getting ready, and taking some individual photographs.  This was also the perfect time for the photographers to capture all the fantastic personal details […]

Wedding Highlight – Erin and Grant

Erin and Grant’s wedding day was incredibly special for me to plan. I’ve known Erin since she was a little girl. Her mom, Carol, was my first boss here in Indianapolis in the event industry. She helped me get into wedding planning and watched my career grow and flourish. Interestingly, as a corporate event planner, Carol doesn’t know (or enjoy) wedding planning, so she said from the onset, “this task is yours, we trust you entirely because we don’t know […]

Wedding Highlight – Mead and Henry

They say rain on your wedding day is good luck.  Well after this wedding, I have to believe that. In the case of Mead and Henry, and their beautiful sweet, happy, tears, and their 8″ of record breaking rain (on their backyard wedding) I have no doubt they’re in for a lifetime of good luck and laughter.  Here’s a few images from the day of the true warmth and love and… family… so much family LOVE captured.  It was quite […]

Wedding Highlight – Julie and Michael

On this first day of spring, and National Proposal Day, it seems only fitting to bring you the wedding of Julie and Michael.  Their spring wedding was just the kick off to wedding season all of us need.  After a cold winter, it was the perfect way to allow springs flowers to bloom and have a garden wedding – both outside and in. The ceremony was held at Michael’s childhood home which allowed guests to mingle with some wonderful guests, […]

Wedding Highlight – Erica and Grant

Their wedding ceremony was hosted in the century old Columbia Club as family and friends watched from both the Lobby level and the balcony above.     Grant and Erica were surrounded by lush flowers (jaw dropping!) and a bridal party wearing gold looked like beautiful Grecian Goddesses. Their service included grandparents reading Biblical passages and really whimsical musical choices.  (I LOVE when couples include personal music!)  In their case they used Beyoncé and Kanye.  Kanye actually was to honor […]

2014 Top Memories

2014 was an amazing year full of families who openly welcomed Mon Amie Events, Inc into their lives  to plan their weddings and events.  Some of these couples actually were siblings of others I’ve assisted in the past and it was wonderful to help another family member down the same aisle. Others were new families who were warm and hospitable from the moment we first met.  Regardless of how long I have known them, each of these families are forever […]

Wedding Highlight – Grace and Graham

Few people can say they met their future spouse at Indiana University’s Little 500 week long festivities.  I can say that.  Add Grace and Graham to the list.  The minute I met them and they told me that, I knew we were destined to work together on their upscale Hoosier Homecoming wedding celebration! Our similarities didn’t stop there!  Grace’s mom, Debbie, and I share a birthday – what’s not to love about us Leos right 😉 , as a child […]
