LAUREN + CONNOR’S WEDDING STORY:
Palladium – Carmel, Indiana
This Carmel, Indiana wedding was eye-catching and theatrical in every way – and we are here for the “eye” puns for this ophthalmologist who allowed us to create an incredible celebration their guests! Their Carmel, Indiana, wedding overflowed with lush, impeccable paperie, personalization and floral pattern.
Guests were invited to Lauren and Connor’s wedding with an intricate invitation suite, designed by Lauren’s sorority sister with stunning handmade paper, beautiful floral patterns, and gorgeous fall colors. This suite and floral pattern would be infused through the wedding weekend in ways guests, and Lauren, could not initially imagine.
The reception was hosted in one of Carmel’s most iconic locations, the Palladium. Upon entrance, guests were welcomed with a large wall of sunglasses to honor Lauren’s profession. Each pair had the guest’s name with their table assignment. The floral print on the wall was the same custom one from the invitation suite. The newlywed’s monogrammed four-tier white and gold wedding cake, decorated with fresh flowers, was on display in the cocktail area. This allowed the couple, who chose to attend their cocktail hour, the chance to cut their wedding cake before guests made their way into dinner.
The ophthalmology infused personalization didn’t stop at the sunglasses, Lauren and Connor’s first dace was “Can’t Take My Eyes off of You” which was also printed on the cocktail napkins.
The Concert Hall exploded in color and texture with tables set with exquisite linens and lush floral creations. Place settings were layered with gold beaded glass charger plates, vintage floral china, and custom menu cards. Collections of candles, crystal stemware, and unique floral centerpieces added interest to each tablescape. Lauren and Connor ducked in for a sneak peek during cocktail hour and then spun around the dance floor to practice their first dance. For them, living out of town and planning long distance, it was a huge surprise. They had actually never been to the Palladium; and this level of trust in us meant so much, since all of the planning was done via Zoom and emails during Lauren’s residency.
Topping off everything was incredible (surprise) video mapping on the walls. The creation included animated butterflies and blooming tulips and was an oversized recreation of the artwork from the wedding invitation suite. It was very special to not only see Lauren’s reaction to this, but her sorority sister’s. Admittedly, we loved the artwork so much that she recreated it for video mapping and custom-made linens for the celebration (another surprise.) Admittedly, the Concert Hall was so spectacular, it took guests a few extra minutes to be seated for dinner as they made their way to their tables as guests took photos of the entire environment. It was an enchanted setting for fall themed dinner and dancing, which took place on the concert stage.
Lauren and Connor’s wedding ended with the video which shows each evening on the outside of the Palladium that before guests departed for the evening.
