Sarah & Joseph’s Newfields Wedding
Our Mon Amie Events team adored working with Sarah and Joseph on their spectacular wedding at Newfields. You see, the couple’s first date was at Newfields, and Joseph proposed there as well…clearly, their wedding HAD to be on the ground of Newfields too.
The bride and groom-to-be each spent the morning with their wedding parties, enjoying breakfast, getting ready, and taking some individual photographs.
This was also the perfect time for the photographers to capture all the fantastic personal details like Welcome Bags stuffed with yummy locally made treats and the amazing invitation suite. The suite also included a wedding program that was created with personal stories, the reception menu.
Before they departed for Newfields, Sarah took a few minutes for the first look with her father, and Joseph spent some time with his mother.
After arriving at Newfields, it was time for the couple’s first look – we made sure their first look was in the same place as the proposal.
As is tradition, the couple gathered with the Rabbi, immediate family, and witnesses for the ketubah signing and some quiet time before the wedding ceremony.
The Lilly House Terrace was set for the beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. White wooden chairs and greenery created an extra-wide aisle that led to the ornate chuppah.
The wooden frame was wrapped in lush greenery and accented with roses in white, pale pink, and soft peach tones. An oversized white table contained a colorful floral spray as well as personal pieces for the ceremony.
As the ceremony began, Joseph waited patiently as his bride-to-be was escorted to the chuppah by her parents.
The couple was surrounded by family for readings of the Sheva Brachot and exchanged wedding vows and rings. Following the traditional breaking of the glass, the newlyweds led guests toward the cocktail reception to the sounds of Siman Tov U’Mazal Tov!
Newfields’ majestic Formal Garden was the setting for the cocktail hour, where guests enjoyed cocktails and lite bites with the couple and the wedding party. One of the highlights was a group of strolling Mariachis. A special surprise for their guests as a nod to the groom, who is from Texas.
After spending time with guests, Sarah and Joseph explored Newfields and captured some outstanding wedding portraits.
Sarah and Joseph stopped off at the Sutfin Fountain Plaza for a sneak peek at the beautiful backdrop for dinner. The plaza was dressed with tables draped in soft floral-patterned linen, paired with sophisticated natural wood chairs. Gold flatware and gold-rimmed charger plates, and lush floral arrangements continued the design story begun in the wedding ceremony.
Following introductions, the newlyweds took to the floor for their first dance to “Make You Love Me,” the Blessing of the Challah, and a sumptuous dinner with wine service. The couple concluded dinner by cutting their incredible pistachio wedding cake.
Dinner led into a night of dancing inside the museum’s galleries. Guests were in awe from the hora to the opportunity to enjoy the American and European Galleries and a dessert buffet including classic American treats in honor of the July 4th wedding.
As a special surprise for Sarah and Joseph, our Mon Amie Events team and wedding professionals obtained special permission from the estate of Robert Indiana and Newfields to create a banner using the iconic Robert Indiana numbers statue located behind the museum. A spectacular backdrop for the band!
Merci Beaucoup, Sarah, and Joseph! Our Mon Amie Events team is overjoyed to have been part of your wedding.
Thank you to our incredible team of wedding professionals who helped to create this magical day.
